 The designer Jacob Jensen, who for the past 50 years has continued to change our idea of how everyday objects can be experienced, has turned 80. So it became natural for him to name his new cordless DECT telephone “Telephone 80”!
The JACOB JENSEN™ Telephone 80 is a cordless DECT telephone designed by Jacob Jensen Design for Bell Xpress A/S, who has developed the telephone in a partnership with one of the world-leading technology companies, RTX in Denmark. This cooperation ensures
high technical quality and includes new distinctive features. Moreover, it is a delight to the eye whether it is mounted on the wall or placed on the desk.
The double-oval design of the light and elegant handset enables a good grip on the telephone and allows the user to position the handset on the base with the display and keypad upwards or downwards, as they prefer. The design of the speaker and the microphone gives us nostalgic memories of Jacob Jensen’s award winning design of
revolutionary record player in the 70s. The luminous numbers, letters and icons in the display alongside with the keypad backlight give a clear view in all kinds of lighting.
New technology for the sake of convenience: The Telephone 80 is equipped with a menu driven interface that is easy to use. The sound quality is eminent with adjustable ringer volume, bass and treble, and the ring tones have been specifically composed for this telephone. In addition the telephone can be used hand free.
When more handsets are connected, the Telephone 80 can operate as a switchboard enabling communication between the handsets. Furthermore, the Telephone 80’s software automatically reduces the radiation from the cordless signal to the absolute minimum for
efficient function.
