What about a set of kitchen scales that can handle weights up to 1 kilo reasonably accurately, is dishwasher proof and can also be used as a measuring jug - and with only 3 parts - a stainless steel spring, a metal container with measuring line on the outside and a glass jar with weighing scale (grams and ounces).

This handy helpmate even has a tar funtion - weight 300g, turn the graduation mark back to zero and carry on weighting without emptying the bowl.
